Arizona Spring Training Baseball Game Get Active in Tempe or Watch Your Favorite Team at an Arizona Spring Training Baseball Game

Tempe's outdoor activities and sporting events add to Tempe's dynamic lifestyle. We are the annual home to the Ford Ironman Arizona, the P.F. Chang's Rock 'n' Roll Arizona Marathon & 1/2 Marathon, the Insight Bowl Tempe and all of the intercollegiate athletics at Arizona State University.

Every March, Tempe is the center of attention as we host the Angels Major League Baseball Spring Training games at Tempe Diablo Stadium. With a packed schedule, you're sure to find the perfect Arizona spring training baseball game to attend in Tempe.

Tempe has numerous parks, soccer fields, lighted tennis courts, pools, golf courses and our own two-mile urban oasis, Tempe Town Lake. Twin bicycle and walking paths circle the lake leading to Tempe Beach Park, Splash Playground, Town Lake Marina and Giuliano Park, where many triathlons take place. In addition, Tempe has more than 150 miles of dedicated bikeways and the League of American Bicyclists has designated Tempe a Silver-Level Bicycle-Friendly Community Award winner.

Taking a quick trip to Arizona for golf is easy when your destination is the ASU Karsten Golf Course. Located in Tempe, Arizona, just ten minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Karsten was rated "FOUR STAR" by Golf Digest’s "Best Places to Play." The course is a classic Pete Dye, Scottish links design with rolling hills and partially hidden greens, guarded by bunkers or water. Golfers can also test their skills at the many municipal courses in Tempe: Rolling Hills Golf Course, Rio Salado Golf Club and Ken McDonald Golf Course. Ranging from a 9-hole course to 18-hole courses, they are an economical way to experience golf in Arizona."

Training for a triathlon, marathon or other endurance sport can be both challenging and fun in Tempe. With plenty of sunny weather, developed bike paths and miles of desert mountain hiking trails surrounding our city, Tempe is a destination of choice for those looking for the perfect place to train for their next race. Hikers, mountain bikers and runners will be challenged on the trails at South Mountain Park and Papago Park. For organized group runs or various other athletic events taking place in Tempe and the surrounding area, Click here and get up and go to Tempe!

Feeling the need for speed? With amazing weather, it is no wonder why race fans flock to Phoenix International Raceway every year to catch NASCAR action. The national pastime fits in perfectly with a destination that hosts all major sports and events such as Super Bowl . Race fans will not only have fun at the race track, they will find it quite easy to have a blast in Tempe. With PIR less than a 30 minute drive, Tempe is a great place to call home after a day of cheering your favorite driver. With more than 60 bars and restaurants in the Mill Avenue District, Tempe is a perfect place to relax and unwind.
